Everything you need to know for your visit to beautiful British Columbia
We're so grateful that you're considering making the journey to Vancouver for our big day. It truly means the world to us. To help make your trip as enjoyable as possible, we've put together our personal recommendations — places we love, things we've done, and spots we think you'll enjoy too.
You'll be flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR), about 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver where we recommend staying. The venue in Langley is about 50 minutes east of the airport. We recommend renting a car for the flexibility, but ride-shares and taxis are also easy to arrange.

We recommend staying in Vancouver — enjoy the city and head to the venue on the big day

August is the driest and sunniest month in Vancouver. Expect mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures. Pack a light jacket for the evenings — it can cool down near the water — and don't forget the sunscreen!
Vancouver is a very safe city overall. The one area to be aware of is the Downtown Eastside — while West Hastings Street is perfectly fine, avoid wandering too far down East Hastings Street. Stick to the main downtown, waterfront, and neighbourhood areas and you should have no issues at all.
